I wanted to share a crazy wonderful story. It has some darkness, but hold tight through it. I had a boss years ago. Guy was retired military and had done quite well for himself. He’s about 30 or so years older than me, I think, which puts him in his early 70s. A couple of years ago, he retired, in some part because of health issues. Things got worse - pretty bad, actually - but he recovered and got his strength back and is quite healthy now, I think. A few months ago, his wife passed away.
So he sold everything - his house and his land and most of his stuff - and bought a Dodge Viper and is travelling the country for the foreseeable future, visiting family and going on adventures.
I hope I can be this badass in 30 years.

Looks like a second-gen, the ‘02-07.

I didn’t want to wait that long. As soon as I retired from the military, I bought an SL500 and disappeared for 9 months. My motto for the trip, “You can’t be lost if you don’t care where you’re going.”
